If you’ve not yet visited the new Istanbul airport and gone to Turkish Air’s Business Class Lounge, you need to move it up on your. Bucket List. The place is over the top with amazing sections each done in different decor and providing different types of cuisine. When added to the terrific service of TA, it’s hard to beat!!

Re: Charles de Gaulle: The WORST…. in May 2019, 300 people in line for passport control, and ONE man stamping passports–4 or 5 airport staff laughing it up in front of the line. Honteux. (I am a native French speaker)

CDG terminal stinks: one of the busiest in Europe and no room to walk or sit. Our lane left 90 mns late because of a medical emergency on board the emptying plane.No explanations given for an hour. I missed my connection in Barcelona; Air France promised help on arrival. No one and no help to be found.

The saving grace is Chez Paul, for excellent sandwiches. AVOID CDG!

We loved the Air New Zealand lounge in Auckland – enjoyed nearly 8 hours there with the soccer team that played that weekend – celebrity sightings are fun.
